All our programmes are designed to help participants get their movies and programmes made – aspiring to the highest standards of achievement.  Previous participants graduating under the auspices of our Director of Programmes enjoy a near 100% employment record in the film and TV industries.  (see here for more details of graduate success).

The emphasis of our programmes is face-to-face interaction with working professionals, either one-to-one or in small groups and in the company of other talented filmmakers.

Our programmes are designed for existing or aspiring professionals – they are vocational and never academic for their own sake.

We stand apart from formally validated Masters programmes which are obliged to jump through academic hoops that are irrelevant to good creative work.  Our focus is always on the work-in-progress.  The Screen Arts Institute wants to help you develop your work to the best of your ability.   We want to help you sell your work and yourselves to those people in the film and TV industries who will jumpstart or further advance your career.  We mean business.
