“A workshop with Stephen May, the Director of The Screen Arts Institute – for actors, directors, producers and writers. Analyzing how to shape a scene, how to shape a performance – illustrating that story (and subtext) are nearly always king.
This workshop will use a key scene from a contemporary film to illustrate some of the key principles behind the development of powerful drama. Audience members will have the opportunity to be actively involved.
The workshop will be led by TV and film development guru Stephen May, director of the SAI. Stephen is a writer/actor/producer/director who has worked with the best on both sides of the Atlantic – including the likes of Castle Rock Films, Working Title Films, Tiger Aspect, the BBC, and artists such as Hugh Grant, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore etc.”
